How TCG JAPAN draws work and how to read the odds
First, you buy points. TCG JAPAN prices everything in pt, with a minimum purchase of 500pt. Its terms of service and legal disclosure list credit cards as the only payment method.
Next, you pick a pack and draw. Each pack shows its pt cost per draw, and the usual buttons are 1 draw, 10 draws, 100 draws, and drawing all remaining entries. We didn't see any multi-draw discount on the pages.
To see the odds, expand “View winning odds” on a pack page. It lists each card's winning probability, the thumbnails show how many of each card are in the pack, and the top shows total remaining entries. TCG JAPAN states that these odds and quantities reflect the moment the pack went on sale, and that it does not show how many of each prize currently remain.
The important notes on pack pages mention a last-one prize for whoever draws the final entry, but not every pack has one. The official pages say nothing about a pity (guaranteed-prize) system.
You can choose to ship or exchange each won card for points individually. You must choose within 180 days of winning, or the card is automatically exchanged for points. The exchange value is a benchmark set by TCG JAPAN, which states it does not represent a buyback or market price.
With unravel, you draw with points priced in New Taiwan dollars. Slot-based pools don't replace drawn entries, every draw wins a card, and each prize's remaining count updates in real time. Whether a pool has a last-one prize or pity system, and how it works, is listed on each pool page.
Comparison: operator and shipping origin
unravel: operated by Global Truth Machines Corporation (US), primarily serving Taiwan under Taiwanese law and the Taipei District Court’s jurisdiction. unravel stores and ships physical cards within Taiwan via Black Cat to the main island and outlying islands. It ships from Japan and is gradually replacing EMS with FedEx for Taiwan deliveries.
Comparison: pricing currency
unravel: points are priced in New Taiwan dollars; top-up plans follow the purchase page. TCG JAPAN: oripa uses pt; its Store shows reference prices in NT$, but checkout is in Japanese yen.
Comparison: shipping fees
unravel: free shipping with 5 live Hit cards or NT$1,000 in card value per shipment; otherwise, the shipping page's fee applies. TCG JAPAN: shipping costs 2,000pt per card, increased from 1,500pt; no free-shipping threshold was found.
Comparison: customs and clearance
unravel: domestic Taiwan shipping requires no import duties or customs identity verification. TCG JAPAN: Store terms state that the company pays customs charges, but the oripa service does not explicitly state this.
Comparison: delivery times
unravel: dispatches within 2 business days after shipping requests are confirmed, followed by Black Cat delivery. TCG JAPAN: the notes on its card pack pages state that shipping takes approximately 3 weeks.

unravel: Chinese-language support at support@unravel.cards. TCG JAPAN: email, a Japanese phone number, and an on-site form; its interface supports Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and English, but support languages are not specified.
Comparison: returns and refunds
unravel: draw results are final once confirmed and nonrefundable; incorrect cards or shipping damage can be reported within 7 days of receipt. TCG JAPAN: drawn cards cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Choose shipping or point exchange within 180 days; unclaimed cards automatically convert into points after that deadline.
Comparison: point expiration and card storage
unravel: purchased points last 1 year from issuance, with all purchased points’ expiration reset by another top-up within that period. Reward points last 180 days. Drawn cards are stored for 90 days, then converted into reward points at the published rate. TCG JAPAN: its terms say points automatically expire 90 days after acquisition, while its point purchase page says points are valid for 6 months after purchase; the two differ.
Comparison: odds disclosure
unravel: every pool publishes total entries, prize details and quantities, and remaining entries, updated with each draw. Draws are without replacement and always award a prize. TCG JAPAN: pack pages expand to show each card’s win rate and included quantity, plus total remaining entries. Its official statement says it does not show current remaining quantities or win histories for individual prizes.
Comparison: graded card labels
unravel: prize pages show the grading company and grade, based on the grader’s assessment and encapsulation. TCG JAPAN: its Store separates PSA10 cards from used “Condition A” cards. Some oripa packs include PSA10-graded cards labeled in the card name; others show rarity only. Pages warn of possible edge whitening or scratches.
Comparison: price per draw
unravel: the two launch pools cost NT$1,000 and NT$3,000 per draw, and Daily Draw costs 200 points (NT$100) per draw, subject to each pool page. TCG JAPAN: minimum point purchase is 500pt; packs shown on category pages mostly cost 100–5,000pt per draw, with some high-end packs costing tens of thousands of pt, some limited to certain membership tiers. No pt-to-New-Taiwan-dollar exchange rate is published.
The biggest difference in remaining counts
TCG JAPAN explicitly states that it shows only the overall pack composition and total remaining entries, not how many of each prize remain. unravel displays each prize’s remaining quantity in real time. If you check whether top prizes are still available before drawing, this difference directly affects your decision.
Which platform suits which needs?
